Dell Computer Personal Purchase Program

Through its existing relationship with Dell, the Purchasing Office, along with schools and departments from both the Morningside and Health Sciences campuses, have negotiated access to Columbia's computer and computer peripheral pricing for personal purchases by Faculty, Students and Staff.

Any faculty member, student or staff, with a valid UNI may use the Personal Purchase Program web page to purchase computers for personal/home use.

Columbia has significant discounts off Dell’s full retail price, depending upon the category of the item under the agreement. The highest discount level applies to the following types of equipment: Optiplex (non-Celeron processor) personal computers, Workstations, Latitude laptops, PowerEdge products (Excluding PowerEdge SC), PowerVault, and PowerApps. Dell's full retail prices, on which the discount is based, change frequently and are available for reference purposes at www.dell.com/hied/retail.

The Personal Purchase page also provides links to current promotions being offered by Dell, independent of the University's agreement. Please compare pricing before making your purchase to ensure that you are getting the best price at that moment in time. When making comparisons, please note that standard pricing on purchases placed via the Columbia Premier and Personal Purchasing web sites includes a minimum of three years of on-site, next business day service, as well as specialized toll free phone support.

Please be advised that for personal purchases, the Dell prices quoted do not include shipping and/or handling charges or applicable taxes. These costs will be add to your order at the time of shipment.

The Faculty, Student and Staff Dell Computer Personal Purchase web site is a Dell web site that has been customized by Dell for Columbia affiliates.
