Answering Services Contracts Awarded In Response To Faculty Practice Need

An RFP issued to answering service providers by the Purchasing Office, in conjunction with Faculty Practice administration, recently yielded University Wide Purchasing Agreements with three vendors. University faculty practice and clinical departments may use these contracts to obtain discounted services that are typically more competitive than previous pricing obtained by individual physicians' offices.

A contract was issued to H Link as a preferred vendor (i.e., with the best pricing and service) and to Answer X Act and Telemed as qualified vendors.

This program will streamline service and billing as well as lower operating costs while maintaining HIPAA compliance. It has been in effect since January 1, 2006.
