APC (American Power Conversion) Removed from Preferred Vendor List

American Power Conversion (APC) has been removed from Columbia University's preferred vendor list, effective May 1, 2006. The change is the result of New York State's decision not to renew the contract (NYS Contract # PT56924,) which Columbia has been utilizing.

Orders for power converters may be placed with any of the UwPA suppliers listed in the computer commodity category; in particular, the Purchasing Office recommends that schools and departments consider CDW-G for purchases of computer power conversion equipment.
