Columbia Negotiates 2006 Local Hotel Rates

The Purchasing Office has negotiated new 2006 rates with a wide range of local hotels. These rates cover the full year, and are available to all Columbia University faculty and staff and their guests.

Participating hotels, located in Midtown and the Upper Westside of Manhattan, are offering extremely competitive rates for the New York City area. Most hotels in the program are located between 42 Street and 96 Street on the west side of Manhattan.

For a complete list of participating hotels and their rates, visit the Purchasing Office website's preferred vendor list at www.columbia.edu/purchasing/pv_list.html, then select "Hotels" from the list of commodity categories.

When making reservations at participating hotels, be sure to specify that you are calling from Columbia University. Several hotels will require a Columbia ID number, which appears in the column marked "Columbia ID" in the online list of hotels. Note that listed rates do not include state, city and/or occupancy taxes.
